As you know, these races aren't possible without the help of volunteers. Whether it's for an hour or all day–please know that we greatly appreciate you and your time. I would not have finished some of my races had it not been for the kindness and encouragement of volunteers. I will never forget running down the Swamp Fox trail with socks on my hands because my gloves were in the wrong bag but a volunteer found a pair of his kid's socks in his truck and let me use them as gloves. 

If you have kids who need service hours this is a pretty easy way to get them! Anyone under 18 needs to have a parent/guardian on site. 

As a thank you for your time we offer our volunteers a 50% discount on a race entry for 12 hours volunteered and a free race entry for 24 hours volunteered.
